Tour details
9:00 AM – Pick-up at Kagoshima Cruise Port
Your guide will meet you at the cruise terminal and escort you to your private vehicle, where your journey begins in comfort.
10:30 AM – Kirishima Shrine
Visit one of Japan’s most important Shinto shrines, surrounded by ancient forest and volcanic mountains. Kirishima Shrine is deeply connected to Japanese mythology and offers a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
11:15 AM – Maruo Waterfall
Stop at Maruo Waterfall, where mineral-rich mist drifts from the falls, settling over the surrounding forest and leaving it touched in white.
11:45 AM – Ioyama Volcanic Valley
Walk through a volcanic landscape where steam rises from the ground and the scent of sulfur fills the air, offering a glimpse into Kirishima’s active volcanic system.
12:30 PM – Hidden Wild Hot Spring Experience
One of the highlights of the tour.
Your guide will take you to a natural outdoor hot spring, known mainly to locals. Tucked away in a quiet bamboo grove along the river, it offers a rare chance to experience a long tradition of seeking out hidden hot springs deep in the mountains.
2:00 PM – Traditional Robatayaki Lunch
Enjoy a special robatayaki lunch at a local restaurant.
Fresh ingredients are grilled over charcoal right in front of you, including seasonal vegetables, local meats, and regional specialties.
A beloved style of cooking in Japan, it offers a warm and memorable dining experience.
4:00 PM – Return to Kagoshima Cruise Port
